growing Plants From Clippings

How do you grow plants from clippings?

My mom has a lot of plants I'd like to take clippings of to grow in my yard. Some are rosemary, mint, and verbena. I think I've heard the method varies by plant, so helpful websites are also appreciated.

verbena you can cut off 4 inches remove all the leaves but top 2 put in water in shady area for a week then plant in soil when new leaves grow put in more sun then a week or so later put in direct sun. rosemary same thing except put in sandy soil make a tent to keep moisture in takes about a month to 6 weeks. Mint is easy dig up part of the plant and divide it
here is a web site with info
